Shenyang Medical College was founded in 1949 by the Shenyang Municipal Higher Vocational School, after the ever-changing development, in May 1985 by the State Education Commission approved the original Shenyang Medical College on the basis of the establishment of a city undergraduate medicine Institutions. Shenyang Medical College, the predecessor of the Shenyang Municipal Higher Vocational School is in June 1949, Shenyang Municipal People’s Government to solve the people’s health care, health care, in accordance with the needs of the urgency, the first training of nursing and midwifery professionals set up. In 1956 1260 students, 265 faculty members. In March 1958, the school affiliated relationship from Liaoning Province to the Shenyang City. In April the same year the city health bureau will change the school name to Shenyang health school. August 1958, by the CPC Liaoning Provincial Committee, Liaoning Provincial People’s Committee approved the school upgraded to Shenyang Medical College. In September 1960, Shenyang City, Chinese medicine school incorporated, set up the Department of Basic, Department of Health, Department of Health and Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine. 1961 Shenyang City Hospital (now Shenyang Medical College Fengtian Hospital) to the school affiliated hospital, and the establishment of 12 clinical teaching and research group. August 1963, Shenyang City Health Bureau will be changed to secondary health school. From September 1963 to 1978, the school experienced the Cultural Revolution and the restoration of the construction period. In 1977, the school in the interval after ten years, the formal restoration of the three-year secondary education three professional enrollment. December 1978, approved by the State Council, Shenyang City Health School on the basis of the alteration of Shenyang Medical College.
